Q : I bought it in Pathmark 3 years ago. A tiny plant.
It is a big plant now.
Some strange insects wrapped in some kind of cottony substance keep attacking the young leaves of the coffee plant. I have already used up 5 bottles of different insecticides from Home Depot.
The insects reappear in a week or two.
A : Have you taken the plant and given it a good rinsing? If the cottony scale continues to return afer insecticide application it shows that A) The infestation is not affected by the chemical and B) The plant is in poor health. Generally healthy plants can fend off attacks. Is the plant receiving correct care? Have you ever fertilized it? I would stop wasting my money on chemicals and get to the bottom of the problem.

I need 20-20-20 fertilizer for my coffee plants, is there an alternative ?

Q : I went to Lowe's and Home Depot to get 20-20-20 fertilizer for my coffee plants but they didnt have any. Is there an alternative that will be just as good for the plants that I can get at one of these stores ?
