Are there any hot chocolate pods for or compatible to the Senseo Single-Serve Coffee Machine?

Are there any hot chocolate pods for or compatible to the Senseo Single-Serve Coffee Machine?

Q : I just bought a Senseo machine and I know that there are coffee, cappuccino, and tea pods for this machine. However, I LOVE hot chocolate and I was wondering if I would be able to make any with my new machine?
A : Never as good! we have a coffee maker at work that does several sorts of coffee (no tea, but it does give you hot water to put the tea-bag in) and hot chocolate, but I definitely prefer the homemade stuff. Just put a mug of milk in the microwave (a minute or two til it's good and hot, depending on the "strength") and plunk in some dark chocolate and a sweetener (sugar or honey depending on what you like - I usually use honey before bedtime and sugar in daytime).

Don't do it with the Senseo even if you do find the pods!

Speaking of hot chocolate, I'm going to make me some! Thanks for reminding me!

"Hello, I'm Jo and I'm a chocoholic" LOL

Do those single serve coffee machines have a hot plate?

Q : I'm thinking of getting one for my dorm, but we're not allowed to have hot plates, or things with hot plates.

These are the coffee machines where the coffee brews directly into a mug.
I don't mean a detatchable hot plate, the regular coffee makers I've seen heats the pot from the bottom.

This coffee machine doesn't have pods, it has a permanent filter for any kind of coffee and can also be used for soup.
A : Neither the Pod brewers, Keurig K-Cup brewers or Tassimo T-Disc brewers utilize a hot plate and would be perfectly suitable for your dorm room. All of them have an internal heating element to heat the water, but brew directly into a mug.

Which model you choose depend on your preferences and whether you are looking for just straight coffee or also coffee house style drinks like lattes or cappucinos. I would suggest a visit to the Single Serve Coffee forums to learn and read more.

How to fix my exploding Mr. Coffee single serve coffee maker?

Q : My Mr.Coffee single serve coffee maker that I received as a gift for Christmas 2010 (less than a year ago) has all of the sudden been literally exploding and getting coffee and coffee grounds all over the place. Does anyone know how I could fix this problem?

Thanks!
Can I claim it for manufactures warranty if I do not have the receipt and never registered for any warranty??
A : It can't hurt to contact the manufacturer even if you don't have the receipt and haven't mailed in the ownership survey card. Have the unit in front of you when you call. They will probably want to know the model number and manufacturing date code that is stamped on it somewhere.

The last time I had a coffee maker fail (different brand) within the warranty period, I was asked to cut off the plug off and send it in. They didn't even want the rest of the machine back. A new one arrived a few days later.

I've posted contact information below.
