Can you buy Keurig coffee pods or k-cups with food stamps?

Can you buy Keurig coffee pods or k-cups with food stamps?

Q : I know it sounds wasteful, but I don't have the $ to buy a nice present for someone and this seems like a decent gift for someone who has everything.
Someone said if you can eat it or drink it that you can use your food stamps, but I was sick once and tried to get some herbal tea and it wouldn't let me. Thanks in advance for your HELPFUL responses please!
A : I have never tried these on EBT - but I do know that in order for the register to talley an item under EBT(food stamps) it must have a nutritional label on the item. Supplemental labels (such as energy drinks, your tea and energy bars) will not fall under EBT. I just looked at the two different brand of K-Cups that I have currently and neither have a nutritional label. So, I would with some degree of certainty say no. Just an FYI also, most of the "gift sets" we see so often this time of year will not work either, even with a nutritional label because per DSS, they contain more non-food items (ie cups, baskets and tins) than food and that labeling prohibits their purchase with food stamps. I did find out quite by accident that the Holly Farms gift sausages in just a box would go - fully expected to pay for one last year and it went through. Understand hard times and the desire to still do for others, never thought I would be on this road. I suggested to others to go to the dollar store in your area, get mugs, bowls etc. and mine has the wrap with bows in sets of 2 for very low cost. Then pick up pop-corn, candy bars, fruit, and many other ideas out there for a snack package and make something yourself.

Now, a lot of the "flavored" instant coffees do have the proper labels and may be another option.
Good luck and hope things are better for us all soon.

What's the brand of hazelnut k-cup that comes in the sampler pack included when buying a Keurig machine?

Q : That was a GREAT cup of coffee and I haven't been able to determine who the manufacturer would have been. I bought it right after Christmas 2011. Thanks
There are easily over 50 manufacturers of K-Cups from rivals Caribou Coffee vs. Starbucks brands and Donut Shop vs. Dunkin Donuts. I think the brand I want may have been Gloria Jean's Hazelnut but want to be more sure before I buy an 80 count box.
A : Thank you for contacting Keurig. I apologize for the delayed response. Unfortunately the variety boxes that are packaged with brewers are random selections of portion packs. Therefore, I am unable to tell what varieties you received in your box. I apologize for any inconvenience. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any other questions or concerns.

I recently bought a Keurig k-kup coffee maker and every cup brewed tastes like plastic?

Q : We recently bought this coffee maker, followed the directions in setting it up, rinsed the plastic water reservoir thoroughly yet every cup of coffee/tea/cocoa tastes like plastic. This machine brews one cup of coffee at a time. It's reservoir holds 10 cups of water. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get rid of the plastic taste?
The concept of the machine is great it's unfortunate everything it brews tastes like plastic.
A : Put a few tablespoons of vinegar into the water filled reservoir and brew 10 cups without the coffee.

do the Keurig k cups come with a built in filter or do i have to buy my own separately?

Q : My mom got a keurig coffee machine as a gift and does not know where to get filters?Does she buy them separately or do they come inside the k cups. Thanks to who ever answers my question!
A : Here is the website to Keurig. I do know which product you are describing, sorry :(
