Ruth asks…Mr. Coffee Coffeemaker "Clean" Light Blinks?I have a coffeemaker very similiar to this one but it is a 12 cup. My model seems to have been discontinued. It's only a few months old.

The light for "Clean" keeps blinking. I've lost the instructions. I cleaned out all the parts and ran some water through it. It still keeps blinking.

I wanted to know if anyone has this and how can I resolve it.

Water won't do it.

The light flashes to indicate a buildup of calcium and other hard water minerals. Mr. Coffee makes a cleaner, but plain white vinegar will do the trick.

Simply pour a quart of white vinegar into the machine in place of brewing water.
